BABY OWL ALERT! When we heard word from our bird team that they had some owl eggs getting ready to hatch, we jumped at the chance for an extra special, extra fluffy class with the babies! We’ve strategically scheduled the session in order to sketch the owlets at peak adorable level (in just a few weeks time!) as they grow incredibly fast, from hatching to full fledged in a mere 12 weeks. We will meet a medley of owl species at different stages of their development – including barn owl and African spotted –  all super fluffy and all super cute.

Our falconer Paul will be lovingly transporting the babies to the session, drawing upon his many years of experience working with birds of prey to ensure it is a positive experience for the little ones. The donation for the class will be going to the Barn Owl Trust, to support the conservation of native owls. Paul will teach us all about these fascinating creatures, and what it's really like parenting baby birds. Clue: it's mostly chaos.

The class will be led by nature-loving artist Jennie Webber. We will provide you with all the materials you need to get started, and Jennie will be on hand with plenty of creative advice, drawing from her 10 years teaching the process of drawing animals from life. The most important thing for you to know is that there is no pressure at our classes- we believe that once we stop worrying about the outcome, drawing can be enjoyable for everyone. All abilities are welcome, and all artistic styles are celebrated.

Here at Wild Life Drawing we are a small team who are dedicated to animal welfare and conservation. We only ever work with the finest animal handlers, who treat their animals with care and respect, and healthy animals who are happy around humans. The falconer who is bringing along the owls is an expert in their care, and regularly works alongside the RSPCA to rescue and rehabilitate wild raptors.

10% of profits will be donated to The Barn Owl Trust

Please note: Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be moved to another class, but can be transferred to another name- just get in touch to let us know who will be attending. We do sometimes have waiting lists for sessions, so if the class you have tickets for is sold out and you can’t make it, please email info@wildlifedrawing.co.uk with as much notice as possible and we will try our best to re-allocate your tickets. If we are able to do so you will be given a credit for another class. Children over the age of 5 are welcome to attend, provided they are accompanied by an adult who is also taking part in the class.
