Don your dungarees and grab some hay to chew on, because we’re heading to the farm! We are delighted to be returning to one of our favourite spots in the city, Hackney City Farm, for a VIP after-hours sketching and stroking sesh. We've planned this summer evening class to carefully to coincide with the arrival of the new baby goats and a lovely litter of piglets! Aren't we good to you? And as well as all those cute babies, we'll also have a chat with the chickens, snuggle with the sheep, and give the donkeys a nice scritch-scratch.
The class will be led by animal lover and artist Jennie Webber, who will kick things off with an introduction to drawing moving moo-dels. With her bucket loads of experience drawing animals from life, Jennie has plenty of creative advice to share which is sure to get even total beginners sketching away in no time. We will be given a tour of the farm by animal expert Michelle Frank, who will teach us all about our new four-legged friends.
We will provide everything you need; paper, drawing boards and a range of colourful materials. We welcome all abilities, and all artistic styles are celebrated. Our classes are all about having fun and enjoying the process- there's no pressure to create perfect portraits. Wild Life Drawing is like art therapy and animal therapy combined, so after a spot of creativity and a dose of nature get ready for your zen levels to be at their highest.
Here at Wild Life Drawing we are a small team who are dedicated to animal welfare. We only ever work with the finest animal handlers, who treat their animals with care and respect, and healthy animals that are happy being around humans. £10 of each ticket will go to Hackney City Farm to support their wonderful community work.
