Wild Life Drawing: Alpacas
British Summer Time

Event Details
Come join us on the farm for an outdoor drawing class with an animal that is as friendly as it is furry- the alpaca. We'll have VIP access to Oreo, Toffee and Cookie, three of the sweetest alpacas at Vauxhall City Farm. The class will be held inside their paddock and our sketching will take place as the boys relax, hum to each other (so cute) and feed around us, and occasionally snuffle up to inspect their portraits! A team member from the farm will teach us all about these wonderfully woolly animals, and there will be lots of time for your questions too. An amazing opportunity to spend time getting to know these animals, this session is guaranteed to slow you down and bust any stress.
The class will be led by nature illustrator Laura Cuppage, who will begin with an introduction to drawing from life. Throughout the session, Laura will be on hand with creative advice and will have some handy hints on how to sketch moving models while having your drawing board nibbled by an alpaca. We welcome all abilities to partake (especially beginners!) so whether you’re a dab hand or you haven’t picked up a pencil in years, we are positive you'll get loads out of the experience. We will provide everything you need to get going; paper, drawing boards, colour and materials, but you’re welcome to bring your own kit along if you’d like.
Animal welfare is at the heart of everything we do at Wild Life Drawing. We are a small team of animal lovers who are dedicated to nature, and we strive to make each of our classes a positive experience for the animals we draw. We work only with the finest teams who treat their animals with respect and care, and healthy, happy animals that are relaxed and comfortable around humans.
£10 from each ticket will be donated to Vauxhall City Farm. The donation will go towards keeping their beautiful animals well looked after, and providing the local community with access to nature.
Please note: Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be moved to another class, but can be transferred to another name- just get in touch to let us know who will be attending. We do sometimes have waiting lists for sessions, so if the class you have tickets for is sold out and you can’t make it, please email info@wildlifedrawing.co.uk with as much notice as possible and we will try our best to re-allocate your tickets. If we are able to do so you will be given a credit for another class. Children over the age of 5 are welcome to attend, provided they are accompanied by an adult who is also taking part in the class.
