Ever been visited in your dreams? Maybe it's part of this job, but I am constantly dreaming of animals – and it's time to find out what it all means. Join Jennie for a light hearted look at the symbolism of dream animals and uncover your inner instincts, emotions and energies.

We will be joined by animal expert Lauren who will be bringing a menagerie of species for us to meet and draw, each of symbolic significance.

Hedgehogs: Self-protection, intuition, resourcefulness

Rabbits: Luck, abundance, quick thinking

Snakes: New beginnings, wisdom or facing anxiety or hidden fears

Frogs: Transformation, renewal and personal growth

Mice: Insecurity, caution or the need to pay attention to the smaller things

Spiders: Patience and strategic planning, or feelings of being trapped

Artist and illustrator Jennie Webber will be leading the class, and will begin with some fun warm-up exercises, and her top tips of drawing our feathered friends. While we sketch, Jen will be on hand to pull cards from from the deck, inspiring you to add some symbolism to your work, or help you approach the creative process in a new way.

While this class certainly has a symbolic slant, it will all be very light-hearted. We will simply be using our dreams to spark conversation, and there won't be any pressure to get involved with that side of the class if it’s not your thing. If you just want to get up close with the animals, that’s cool with us! Our inclusive and supportive classes are open to all abilities levels, especially beginners! So whether you’re a dab hand or haven't picked up a pencil for years, we are confident that with a bit of creative guidance, you'll get loads out of the experience.

Animal welfare is at the heart of everything we do at Wild Life Drawing. We are a small team of animal lovers who are dedicated to conservation, and we strive to make each of our classes a positive experience for the animals we draw. We only ever work with the finest handlers who treat their animals with respect and care, and animals who are healthy and happy being around humans. Our animal expert rescues and re-homes many her animals, ensuring she provides the very best care, nutrition and enrichment so they can live happy and comfortable lives.

10% of the ticket profits will be donated to South Essex Wildlife Hospital.

Please note: Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be moved to another class, but can be transferred to another name- just get in touch to let us know who will be attending. We do sometimes have waiting lists for sessions, so if the class you have tickets for is sold out and you can’t make it, please email info@wildlifedrawing.co.uk with as much notice as possible and we will try our best to re-allocate your tickets. If we are able to do so you will be given a credit for another class. Children over the age of 5 are welcome to attend, provided they are accompanied by an adult who is also taking part in the class.
