Event Details

This Christmas, join us to celebrate the profound connection between humans and dogs at an extra special class in support of Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. We are delighted to announce that we will be in the company of gorgeous guide dogs and puppies, each accompanied by either their puppy raiser or guide dog owner. From sweet young Jukey, a fox red golden retriever who is just 10 months old and still learning the ropes, to 11.5-year-old retired black labrador Nickle, we will meet, draw and fall in love with a range of dogs, all at different stages in their guide dog careers.

While artist Jennie Webber takes you through the process of capturing these sweet hounds on your pages, we will hear from Guide Dog co-ordinator Jayne Stubbington, who will outline the training process and highlight to us just how important these dogs are in enabling their owners to maintain their independence. We will also chat with the puppy raisers about their experiences of raising young guide dogs, as well as the guide dog owners who will share with us the impact that having a guide dog has made on their lives.

The class is open to all abilities, and all artistic styles are celebrated. We will bring along everything you need to get sketching- paper, drawing boards and a range of materials- but you’re welcome to bring your own kit if you’d like to. And of course, since it’s the Christmas Special, there will be mulled wine to sip and mince pies to munch!

Here at Wild Life Drawing, we are a small team dedicated to animal welfare. We only ever work with the finest animal handlers, who treat their animals with care and respect, and healthy animals that are happy being around humans.

£10 from each ticket will be donated to Guide Dogs for the Blind Association

Please note: Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be moved to another class, but can be transferred to another name- just get in touch to let us know who will be attending. We do sometimes have waiting lists for sessions, so if the class you have tickets for is sold out and you can’t make it, please email info@wildlifedrawing.co.uk with as much notice as possible and we will try our best to re-allocate your tickets. If we are able to do so you will be given a credit for another class. Children over the age of 5 are welcome to attend, provided they are accompanied by an adult who is also taking part in the class.
