Over the moon to be able to announce our first drawing class with a family of BABY SKUNKS in June! Last month Petal the striped skunk gave birth to six kits, all healthy and happy. Now they're a little more grown up and ready to explore the world, we will have the amazing opportunity of drawing them along with their wonderful mother Petal. This will be a smaller class than usual, so book fast to secure your spot!

Animal Workshops make a point of not breeding their animals, but Petal and Monti (the father) came into their care as young skunks themselves and they got busy before Monti could be neutered! As always, we'll learning all about the species, their habitats and diet – but for this session we'll be discussing reproduction and development in the skunk world.

The drawing class is open to all, from beginners to advanced. All drawing materials are supplied, including paper and drawing boards, but please feel free to bring colours or any other specific media you might like to use. Drawing tips and guidance will be provided throughout the session. The aim of these drawing classes is to inspire a sense of appreciation and understanding for the animals and their conservation in the wider world.

Wild Life Drawing is working with the finest animal handlers, sanctuaries and organisations to put on these events. All the animals that attend the sessions are well used to humans and different environments, their welfare is our highest priority. This family of skunks will be attending with two highly experienced animal handlers that care for these animals as well as rehoming other unwanted pets or rescue animals. These skunks will be in bespoke runs, with plenty of enrichment activities and hidden treats to keep them occupied and happy for the time they are with us. All animals go through a 'Heath and Happiness' test before attending any external events, and are rewarded with their favourite foods. And don’t worry – our skunks are very calm and used to humans so there will be no danger of them kicking up a stink.

Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferable to another name. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with Jennie on: info@wildlifedrawing.co.uk
