Get into flow state at an after-hours drawing class at the London Aquarium. We will be floating about with the jellyfish, where their mesmerising motions are sure to soothe your senses while you sketch. The marine life experts at the aquarium will begin with a talk about jellyfish, and how the latest science suggests that even though they don’t have brains, these creatures are much smarter than previously thought. They have an intelligent nervous system spread throughout their bodies, and are capable of ‘associative learning’. While our focus will be the jellyfish area, you’ll also be able to wander freely to sketch turtles, sharks, rays and a whole host of other species.

Leading the class will be artist Jennie Webber, who will be on hand with creative advice if you have a wobble! All abilities are very welcome to take part. There will be no pressure to work in a certain style or method, so you can relax and forget your brain for the evening. We will provide everything you need to get sketching- drawing boards, paper and a range of materials- but you’re welcome to bring along your own kit if you like.

Here at Wild Life Drawing, we are a small team dedicated to animal welfare. We only ever work with the finest animal handlers, who treat their animals with care and respect, and healthy animals who are happy around humans. 50% of your ticket will be donated to the Sea Life Trust, so by taking part, you’ll be supporting the conservation of marine habitats around the world.

Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be moved to another class, but can be transferred to another name- just get in touch to let us know who will be attending. We do sometimes have waiting lists for sessions, so if the class you have tickets for is sold out and you can’t make it, please email info@wildlifedrawing.co.uk with as much notice as possible and we will try our best to re-allocate your tickets. If we are able to do so you will be given a credit for another class.
