Event Details

To celebrate Spring, this May we'll be drawing the young lambs (and ewes) recently born on Vauxhall City Farm. We will be getting up close and personal with these frisky little balls of wool as we draw them from right inside their paddock. The class will start with an introduction from the farm manager at Vauxhall, where we'll learn all about the lambs, the reproductive and development processes in sheep and about the farming industry in the UK. Vauxhall City Farm is an oasis of nature and animals amid the bustle of London, which benefits the local community with a wide range of projects including maintaining and developing a free natural space in the heart of the city, providing environmental education for local children and school groups plus a variety of outreach and work experience programs. All ages and abilities welcome and Family Tickets (for one adult and one child aged 8-18) are available!

The drawing class is open to all, from beginners to advanced. All drawing materials are supplied, including paper and drawing boards, but please feel free to bring colours or any other specific media you might like to use. The aim is to inspire a sense of appreciation and understanding for the animals and their conservation in the wider world.

Wild Life Drawing is working with the finest animal handlers, sanctuaries and organisations to put on these event – the welfare of the animals is our highest priority.  Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferable to another name. The drawing class will take place outside and so please do wear appropriate clothes for the weather (fingers crossed for sunshine!) In the event of very wet weather, the drawing class will take place in the yard. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with Jennie on: info@wildlifedrawing.co.uk
