Brighton, get ready to fall in love. This Valentine’s Day, let's get together to celebrate one of the purest forms of love- the kind we humans share with our dogs. For the past 20,000 years our two species have lived side by side, sharing the highs and lows of life. At this class, we will meet some gorgeous therapy dogs and hear about how they go the extra mile to brighten the lives of those in need of some extra love. With their kind and gentle natures, these dogs provide comfort to hospital patients, build the confidence of children who are struggling in school, and form friendships with people who are in prison.

We are delighted to be teaming up with Therapy Dogs Nationwide for this class. An expert from their team will be coming along to teach us all about the work that the charity does, and four of their lovely volunteers will bring their handsome hounds along for us to draw. So far confirmed on the bill are dashing whippet named Dazee, lovely Lowchen Wesley and Bintang the beautiful Bernse Mountain Dog! Expect lots of heartwarming stories and some properly memorable canine cuddles.

No prior art experience is needed to join the session- whether you’re a dab hand or an absolute beginner, we will have you sketching away in no time. The focus of this class is to celebrate the profound relationship between humans and dogs, and there is no pressure to create a “perfect” portrait! We will provide paper and drawing boards and a range of art materials for you to use, but if you have some trusty favourites that you enjoy using you are very welcome to bring them.

Animal welfare is at the heart of everything we do at Wild Life Drawing. We are a small team of animal lovers who are dedicated to conservation, and we strive to make each of our classes a positive experience for the animals we draw. We only ever work with the finest handlers who treat their animals with respect and care, and animals who are healthy and happy being around humans. The dogs we will draw at this session are much-adored family pets, and will be compensated with tasty treats and lots of fuss!

£10 from each ticket will be donated to Therapy Dogs Nationwide.

Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be moved to another class, but can be transferred to another name- just get in touch to let us know who will be attending. We do sometimes have waiting lists for sessions, so if the class you have tickets for is sold out and you can’t make it, please email info@wildlifedrawing.co.uk with as much notice as possible and we will try our best to re-allocate your tickets. If we are able to do so you will be given a credit for another class.
