Hay you! Fancy joining us in Brixton to draw beautiful horses? This August, we are excited to be returning to the wonderful Ebony Horse Club for a Summer sketching sesh. These fantastic community stables are on a mission to raise the education, life skills, wellbeing and aspirations of young people from disadvantaged communities within Lambeth through equine therapy.

The class will begin with an introduction from nature illustrator Jennie Webber, who will take you through horse anatomy with top tips on drawing moving models. We’ll have the pleasure of meeting most of the horses at the club, and there are some big personalities! From dynamic duo Bailey (the naughtiest horse) and Poppet (the Shetland with one eye and a big attitude) to stunning Splash, the owner of the best moustache in London.

The drawing class is open to all, from beginners to advanced, as well as children over five years of age if accompanied by an adult also taking part in the class. Even if you haven’t picked up a pencil in years, we’re sure that with a few tips and as much guidance as you need, you’ll be sketching away in no time! We will supply you with paper and a drawing board, as well as a colourful array of drawing materials to experiment with, but please feel free to bring along your own if you’d like. Our goal is for you to leave with both some beautiful drawings and a greater understanding and appreciation of this majestic species.

Here at Wild Life Drawing, we are a small team who are driven by our love of nature and animals. This is why the welfare of our much adored models is our number one priority. We only ever work with experienced handlers who treat their animals with the utmost respect and care, and happy animals that are comfortable being around humans.

Tickets are non-refundable or exchangeable, but can be transferred to another name.
