Manchester- we have exciting news. This May, it’s our pleasure to announce our very first class in your fine city. It's going to be a real squeal! Join us to meet and draw some gorgeous miniature piglets, who are pig-ture perfect and ready to show you their best poses. While we draw we will learn all about pigs, from their high level of intelligence (they are thought to be the fifth smartest animal on earth) to their welfare in the livestock industry. Although the piglets will be small at this stage, we will be uncovering the myths around 'miniature' pigs, the complex care they need and just how large they can really grow! Our expert animal handler Marc will be happy to answer your questions, and there may even be time for some piglet-cuddles and belly scratches at the end of the session. And just so you know, the piggies we draw are destined for a life of pampering as family pets.

The class will be lead by wildlife artist Jennie, who founded Wild Life Drawing back in 2014. Jennie will get you started with a drawing demo and her top tips for drawing a moving subject, and will then be on hand with creative guidance throughout the session. We will provide paper and drawing boards, as well as an array of colourful materials for you to experiment with, but do bring along any of your own favourite mediums if you’d like to. The class is open to all- from beginners to advanced. Even if you haven’t picked up a pencil in years, we will have you sketching away in no time! Our goal is for you to leave with not only some lovely drawings, but also a greater understanding and appreciation of the animals you’ve drawn.

Ducie Street Warehouse will be open before and after the class for coffees, drinks and delicious food. Take a look at the menus and book a table here.

Here at Wild Life Drawing we are a small team who are dedicated to animal welfare. We only ever work with the best animal handlers, who treat their animals with care and respect, and happy, healthy animals that are comfortable around humans and in different spaces.

10% of each ticket will be donated to Farms Not Factories, a non-profit organisation working to expose the true costs of cheap meat from animal ‘factories’ with the aim to inspire people to choose healthy, high welfare farms.
