Event Details

On August Bank Holiday Saturday we're off to Mudchute City Farm to meet and draw their incredible Llamas and Alpacas. We will be getting up close and personal with these hooved herds as we draw them from inside their paddocks. The class will start with an introduction from one of Mudchute's farm staff, where we'll discuss the difference between the two species, their origins and their unique haircuts! Mudchute isn't as far away as you think – just near Canary Wharf on the Jubilee Line – but is an oasis of nature and animal life in Central London. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Mudchute charity, which benefits the local community with a wide range of projects including maintaining and developing a free natural space in the heart of the city, providing environmental education for local children and school groups plus a variety of outreach and work experience programs. All ages and abilities welcome!

The drawing class is open to all, from beginners to advanced. All drawing materials are supplied, including paper, but please feel free to bring colours or any other specific media you might like to use. The aim is to inspire a sense of appreciation and understanding for the animals and their conservation in the wider world.

Wild Life Drawing is working with the finest animal handlers, sanctuaries and organisations to put on these event – the welfare of the animals is our highest priority.  Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferable to another name.
