Event Details
Prepare for a friendly dose of mayhem as in January we have a live online session drawing some seriously cheeky Pygmy Goats. Known for their little bodies and big characters, they are sure to have you chuckling throughout the session. These goats love jumping and climbing, are highly inquisitive and love attention!
We will be drawing the rescued pygmy goats that are residents at Ark Wildlife Park. Every animal at Ark has been rescued, usually from the exotic pet trade. We will be joined by Jamie who is the head of the sanctuary, who will be joining the class live from inside the goat enclosure, so we will have a great up close view of the herd.
The class with be lead by artist and wildlife enthusiast Laura Cuppage who will begin with her top animal drawing tips. We will be drawing the goats as they move about freely, so Laura will provide plenty of advice on sketching moving models. While we draw Jamie will be happy to answer your questions, and will teach us about the responsible animal ownership and goat welfare.
The basic materials you need to take part are paper, a pencil, eraser and sharpener, but of course you are more than welcome to work in whatever materials you enjoy or have to hand. Please get in touch if you need advice on materials, we’re happy to help! You will be emailed the reference images, instructions and the Zoom link to join 48 hours before the event is due to start, or in good time if you booked your ticket closer to the event.
50% of ticket profits will go to Ark Wildlife Park.
