We are excited to be heading down to Brixton to draw some of the gorgeous Horses who live at Ebony Horse Club. This fantastic organisation are on a mission to use Horses to raise the education, life skills, wellbeing and aspirations of young people from disadvantaged communities within Lambeth.

The class will begin with an introduction from artist and wildlife enthusiast Laura Cuppage, who will take you through the basics of drawing horses from life. While we sketch we will learn about equine therapy, and how the age old relationship between humans and horses is working wonders for the local youths who are members at the stables. We will be sketching during riding hours so expect to see all of the comings and goings of a working stables. We will draw the horses in turn, while they tuck into their lunch!

The drawing class is open to all, from beginners to advanced. Even if you haven’t picked up a pencil in years, we’re sure that with a few tips and as much guidance as you need, you’ll be sketching away in no time! We will supply you with paper and a drawing board, as well as a colourful array of drawing materials to experiment with, but please feel free to bring along your own if you’d like. Our goal is for you to leave with both some beautiful drawings and a greater understanding and appreciation of this majestic species.

Here at Wild Life Drawing, we are a small team who are driven by our love of nature and animals. This is why the welfare of our much adored models is our number one priority. We only ever work with experienced handlers who treat their animals with the utmost respect and care, and happy animals that are comfortable being around humans.
