Event Details
Next up for you lovely people on the South coast is Rescue Reptiles in May! Visiting Platf9rm in Hove will be an array of resplendent reptiles including chameleons, leopard and crested geckos, bearded dragons, tortoises, a bosc monitor and a royal python. As well as drawing these terrific textures, we'll be learning all about these cold-blooded species; their habitats, characteristics and the welfare issues affecting them in the pet industry. All these reptiles have been rescued or rehomed, and we'll be using the class as an opportunity to promote responsible pet ownership.
The drawing class is open to all ability levels and beginners are especially welcome! We will provide paper, drawing boards and a colourful array of materials for you to experiment with, but please do feel free to bring along any specific media that you enjoy using. Drawing tips and guidance will be provided throughout the session, with an in-depth demonstration of how to draw animals from life at the beginning of the class. Children aged 8 and above are more than welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult also taking part in the class. The aim is to inspire a sense of appreciation and understanding for the animals and their conservation in the wider world.
