Event Details

Trophy hunting targets some of the world’s most magnificent and beautiful species, and sadly, often those most threatened are at risk of extinction. Humane Society International/UK is campaigning for a ban on the import and export of hunting trophies to end the UK's involvement in this outdated and cruel practice.

As part of this effort, HSI/UK is teaming up with Wild Life Drawing to hold a drawing class celebrating some of those species most often targeted by hunters to raise awareness and hone our drawing skills!

You'll be taught how to sketch wild animals in their natural habitat from supplied reference images and the class will be lead by wildlife artist Jennie Webber, who will be sharing her expertise. Jennie will be joined by Arthur Thomas who is leading HSI/UK's trophy hunting campaign. Arthur will talk about the impacts of trophy hunting, the campaign in the UK, ways you can get involved and answer any questions you may have.

The basic materials you need to take part are paper, a pencil, eraser and sharpener, but of course you are more than welcome to work in whatever materials you enjoy or have to hand.

Ticket price is £10 with 100% of the proceeds going to support the work of HSI/UK to protect animals. The reference images and the Zoom link will be sent 24 hours before the class is due to take place and the full class will be recorded, so anyone that can't join in live will still be able to take part at a later date.
