Event Details

This November we're back at the SEA LIFE London Aquarium to get up close and personal with Sharks and Rays. Our drawing class will focus on the two largest shark tanks in the aquarium; home to Sand Tiger Sharks, Nurse Sharks and White and Black Tip Reef Sharks. As well as these shark species, there are also two rescued Green Sea Turtles, Southern and Cownose Stingrays and a Bowmouth Guitarfish – half shark/half ray – alongside a multitude of fish. Although we will predominantly be focussing on Sharks, attendees will have free rein of the aquarium to draw from all the species.

The aquarium in Westminster is home to thousands of species of aquatic animals – including penguins, octopus, turtles, stingrays and octopus – and it's tanks collectively hold over 2 million litres of water. The aquarium works closely with it's partner charity, the SEA LIFE Trust, to protect marine wildlife and habitats across the world and to communicate key conservation message to it's visitors. It is also involved in several breeding programs including the Cuban crocodile, seahorses, butterfly goodeids, and jellyfish, and works with many conservation organizations including Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, Save Our Seas, and The Shark Trust.

The class will start with an introduction to the aquarium's marine life and the conservation issues affecting sharks across the globe. Attendees will be able to explore the shark tanks with their drawing boards and helpful hints and guidance will be on hand from workshop leader, illustrator Jennie Webber. Two thirds of each ticket sold will be donated to the SEA LIFE Trust, making a whopping total donation of £500!

The drawing class is open to all, from beginners to advanced. All drawing materials are supplied, including paper, but please feel free to bring colours or any other specific media you might like to use. Drawing tips and guidance will be provided throughout the session. The aim of these drawing classes is to inspire a sense of appreciation and understanding for the animals and their conservation in the wider world.

What is the Handling Charge for?

To ensure tickets are delivered safely and securely and to keep the price as low as possible for you, the ticket buyer, Wild Life Drawing generally uses our E-ticket system unless otherwise stated.

For this service we charge a small Handling Fee to cover the debit/credit card processing fees, customer services, processing and distribution of tickets and our secure server costs. We always try to keep these costs to an absolute minimum. If you feel at any time that our prices are not fair or competitive we'd be happy to hear from you.

Delivery

If you have ordered physical paper tickets there is a further Delivery cost added to cover the delivery of your order through the Royal Mail network.

We always endeavour to keep these costs as low as possible to merely cover the costs of postage. We only charge you one Delivery cost per order so if there is a big group of you recommend purchasing larger amounts in one order.

When you purchase tickets through Wild Life Drawing, the full face value of the ticket is shown. This price is the price set by the event organiser and we pay this full amount to the organiser without any deductions.
