Very excited to announce another series of Owl development drawing classes; this time with two little Tawny Owlets! They hatched at the end of April, so our final class will see our little owlets at 11 weeks old, where they will be almost fully grown Tawny Owls (with just a few tufts of downy feathers) and fully fledged – meaning they'll be exploring the room around them and developing their own unique characters and personalities.

As well as drawing the owlets, we’ll be learning all about the different growth stages – from eggs to adult birds. This species is native to the UK and we’ll be using the classes to explore the conservation issues affecting the birds and what we can do to help.

Tawny Owls develop quickly, and are fully grown at 12 weeks, and in that time they undergo a truly dramatic transformation as they swiftly turn from ungainly balls of downy feathers to beautiful, fully grown Tawny Owls.

The drawing classes are open to all, from beginners to advanced. All drawing materials are supplied, including paper, but please feel free to bring colours or any other specific media you might like to use. The aim is to inspire a sense of appreciation and understanding for the animals and their conservation in the wider world.

Wild Life Drawing is working with the finest animal handlers, sanctuaries and organisations to put on these events. All the animals that attend the sessions are well used to humans and different environments and are always accompanied by experienced handlers, their welfare is our highest priority. The falconer that keeps these birds is a trusted and experienced animal handler that works with the RSPCA and other wildlife groups to rescue, rehabilitate and re-release wild birds of prey around the South of England.

Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferable to another name. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with Jennie on: info@wildlifedrawing.co.uk
