Event Details

We will be celebrating the last of Spring by meeting and drawing the new additions on Vauxhall City Farm – this year's lambs and young calves. Out in the main paddocks we'll spend time with the little lambs and their mothers, mostly Shetlands and White-faced Woodlands. The lambs will vary in age and size, as they're all under 2 months old and are all curious and playful! The two calves will be just a few weeks old, yet unnamed and TOTALLY ADORABLE. We will be taking this opportunity to talk about some of the issues within the dairy farming industry and what we can do to help by making informed choices on what we purchase. Come and join us to welcome these lovely new animals into the world and spend some time on the farm!

The drawing class is open to all, from beginners to advanced. All drawing materials are supplied, including paper and drawing boards, but please feel free to bring colours or any other specific media you might like to use. Drawing tips and guidance will be provided throughout the session. This will be an outdoor drawing class, taking place out in the paddocks. We will be hoping for good weather, but if the heavens open we reserve the right to reschedule the event.

The aim of these drawing classes is to inspire a sense of appreciation and understanding for the animals and their welfare in the wider world. Wild Life Drawing is working with the finest animal handlers, sanctuaries and organisations to put on these events. All the animals that attend the sessions are well used to humans and different environments and are always accompanied by experienced handlers, their welfare is our highest priority.
