Event Details
We're back at Draw Brighton during February Half Term, this time bringing along a special selection of Exotic Mammals to meet, draw and learn about. Some of the furry friends we'll be making will include Meerkats, Pygmy Hedgehogs, Tenrecs and Chinchillas. All delightfully different, but each species wonderful to sketch! And as well as drawing, we'll learn all about the natural habitats of these animals, their hunting/feeding techniques and any conservation issues affecting these animals in the wild and some of the dangers of the exotic pet trade.
The drawing class is open to all, from beginners to advanced. Children over 7 are more than welcome, as long as they are accompanied by an adult also taking part in the class. All drawing materials are supplied, including paper and drawing boards, but please feel free to bring colours or any other specific media you might like to use. Drawing tips and guidance will be provided throughout the session. The aim of these drawing classes is to inspire a sense of appreciation and understanding for the animals and their conservation in the wider world.
Wild Life Drawing is working with the finest animal handlers, sanctuaries and organisations to put on these events. The animals attending the session are all fully accustomed to travelling, to different environments and are happy interacting with humans. They will be attending with two experienced animal handlers that care for these animals as well as rehoming other unwanted pets or rescue animals. Every precaution and preparation has been made to ensure a calm and comfortable journey and environment for these animals; the welfare of the animals is our utmost priority.
Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferable to another name. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with Jennie on: info@wildlifedrawing.co.uk
